RARE Vtg WWII AN-J-3 Goatskin Leather Flight Jacket 42 M422a AN-6552 Military

This is a commercially sold AN-J-3 goatskin flight jacket in original used condition. My understanding with these is, they were sold as surplus to clothing retailers after the war and the retailers sewed in their own labels. Heeseman, here in Sacramento, was a high quality men's clothier of the period. Absolutely all of the details in material and construction are correct. The liner fabric feels like rayon and, as you can see is worn through at points around the collar. Overall, this piece is in decent condition considering its age. The only issues that need to be mentioned are, both of the buttons at the pockets are missing, and there is moth damage to the right cuff(the left cuff is remarkably not damaged). And, of course, the damage to the liner. The single-ply wool knit waistband is almost perfect (I only see one moth hole along the front). The goatskin is a bit stiff, but not to the point where it's beyond wear. I believe it would respond well to some Neats Foot Oil, but I will leave that for the next owner to decide. The original Talon zipper is in perfect working condition. This jacket is marked a size 42. The flash from my camera kinda' washes out the number, but it's fully visible in person. I'm 6' tall and wear a size 44 and this jacket fits me like a glove with just a little room to spare. Be sure to check the measurements below. This is a no reserve auction. Please email me if you have any questions or need more pictures. Thanks

IMPORTANT!!!

I strive to receive 5/5!!!

I do not charge any handling fees. You only pay the cost of the actual shipping. If I could afford to offer free shipping I would, but most of my profits are small and I really just can't swing it. Unfortunately, because of ebay's new Detailed Seller Ratings system, a 5=A and a 4=F. I say this because even though you may think you're giving me a "Good" score, if I or any other seller just receives 4s we will be thrown off of ebay. That's they're new system. I really do strive to give each of my customers the best service possible, but also, I specialize in selling rare, unusual and hard to find items. The very items that helped build ebay into the empire that it is. When all of us little sellers are gone there's going to be nothing left to buy on ebay but a bunch of Buy.com overstock. Many of my items only wind up costing $6.80 to ship. Heavier items will cost more. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS do need to realize that the USPS calculator is often inaccurate with international shipping rates. So I do sometimes add a couple of dollars to the cost to cover myself. I guarantee everything I sell. If I make a mistake I will always give you a full refund.

Please do not bid unless you intend to buy this item!!!

I will ship internationally, but I will not falsify documents so as to help you avoid customs!!!

I accept Paypal.

All items are guaranteed to be as described
, if I have made a mistake I will gladly refund your money, minus the cost of shipping. However, I go to great lengths to provide correct measurements and nice big pictures of every detail. it is your responsibility as a buyer to ask any and all questions prior to placing a bid. If you fail to do so, or the piece doesn't fit properly, I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do.

I usually ship upon payment via USPS
. You, as the buyer, are responsible for the cost of shipping. IIf I can find a box that will work to safely ship your item I will pass the savings on to you. I strongly suggest you also insure your purchase as I cannot be responsible for damage or loss through shipping. If you require special arrangements or shipping through UPS, please allow additional time. Also, I charge a $10 handling fee for UPS shipping, i charge this fee because i do not want to ship via UPS. The only exception to this would be when I'm selling a heavier item which must be shipped via UPS. In that case it will be specifically stated in the auction description.

I almost always leave positive feedback, unless there's some extreme problem. However, I sometimes don't get around to leaving the feedback for a week or so. Please be patient.
