It is made by hot forging and is equipped with a single elastic band. This combination guarantees less friction with the cylinder and consequently a higher yield, combined with greater resistance and reliability. The kit, in addition to the piston itself, contains the piston pin, the piston pin rings and the ring kit. The elements just mentioned are replaceable and interchangeable in case of need. The High Performance line offered by Athena is composed of a complete range of cast pistons for the main 2 and 4 stroke Off-Road models produced thanks to a revolutionary computerized technology that ensures production dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm. The balance between the materials used in the production phase (silicon, copper, nickel and aluminum alloys) allows Athena pistons to reach a level of reliability equal to the original and at the same time guarantee greater resistance and excellent performance. All Athena items produced in displacements and powers higher than those required by the road code of the user's country, are intended exclusively for competitive use.
