The Racing Corsa and Pin Ø 12 mm crankshaft, also known as the crankshaft, is one of the fundamental components for the transmission of the motion: its design and production must be treated in detail to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

Athena is a leader in the production of motorcycle parts and auto parts precisely because of the attention it dedicates to the development and manufacture of its products: each Athena crankshaft is in fact forged in high tensile strength steel and made with CNC numerical control machines. After specific chemical thermal treatments, the shaft obtains high resistance and good elasticity, guaranteeing excellent performance even in intensive use and extreme conditions.

The crankshafts are all precisely designed, assembled and leveled to OEM specifications to meet or exceed original components in performance and durability. Thanks to their characteristics, Athena's crankshafts adapt even to the most elaborate engines, supporting very high power and high stresses without difficulty.
Athena offers a range that satisfies every need:

1) Original: perfect replacement for the original shaft, but with a superior balance and a lighter in weight connecting rod. Each kit includes a special roller cage.
2) Racing (pin Ø10mm): solid cranks completely turned on the lathe to decrease the volume in the crank chamber. The shaft is equipped with a lightened connecting rod and provided with special roller cages (big end and small end).
3) Racing (Ø12mm pin): same as 10mm Racing shaft, but with the hole in the small end for Ø12mm pin.
4) Racing Long Stroke (Ø12mm pin): same as Racing 12mm shaft, but with extended stroke. This shaft can be combined with the Racing Long Stroke cylinder kits developed by Athena to increase the displacement to 80cc.
