This flywheel works on all Emerson and Fanimation ceiling fans that have a K55 or K55XL series motor (If you have an Emerson or Fanimation fan with this part already your fan is a K55 or K55XL). Emerson and Fanimation motors of this caliber are among the highest of quality on the market and well worth the replacement of this part. This is a wear and tear part in general, having the blades rotate on this flywheel it is what keeps the motor so quiet and running smoothly. We relate this part to tires on a car, it takes all the abuse and after many years of use may need to be replaced. The K55 / K55XL Emerson and Fanimation motors are extremely long lasting and will outlast just about any other appliance/motor you may have in your home as long as the fan is maintained properly. This part is considered a minor repair and easily replaced by a professional. Please note Casablanca does have a similar flywheel, they are not identical but this flywheel is a direct crossover and can be used with the purchase of a screw pack to match. The center shaft 1" width, the thread of the screws are different. The screw hole placement does line up with Casablanca so you can use your old blade arms.
