Description: "Napoleone Martinuzzi (1892 - 1977) was one of the most important innovators in Murano glass art and artistic director of Venini from 1925 to 1931. There are many new glass techniques applied in his creations which include sculptures, lamps and objects collectible, which unequivocally bear its distinctive mark. ”Processing Technique: Opaline OPALINE PROCESSING TECHNIQUE The lattimo is an opaque white glass, invented in Murano around the middle of the 15th century in order to imitate the first porcelains of great fashion in Europe. It is obtained by overlapping the lattimo glass with a glass or more thin transparent and colored glasses, obtaining splendid objects with intense and bright colors. To embellish soft-colored glass, gold and silver leaves are included on the entire surface to obtain splendid “Aurati” objects.
