P08 is an air filter totally different from the others. There is no filter built with this patented technology in the world. A filter membrane made of a fabric of polyester threads of ø 5 micron. Furthermore, the filtration surface is double that of any other special filter.

HIGH AIR PASSAGE

It is evident from the graphs that the passage of air compared to that of a common special cotton air filter is much higher. The increase in air and performance compared to a common special cotton air filter is mainly due to two fundamental factors: the filtering material consisting of a polyester structure and the folds of the filter itself higher. This last particularity allows to obtain the maximum filtering surface on the panel filters (20 mm), all to the benefit of the passage of air and the quality of the dust filtration.

The total absence of oil to retain the dust also allows a greater entry of air on the same surface. Furthermore, considering that the filtering surface is very large, it is possible to have an increase in flow of about 25% compared to a cotton filter, all to the advantage of engine performance and the protection ensured by greater filtration.

VERY HIGH FILTERING POWER

In addition to a high air passage, the SPRINT FILTER P08 ensures a very high filtering power: 80 microns, managing to retain 93.13% of the 100-micron particles against 76.42% of the 100-micron particles retained by a cotton filter. This is made possible by the special structure composed of 5 micron diameter wires that intertwine leaving room for a large free surface within which the air passes. The special structure obtained creates a texture with dimensions of 80 microns. Unlike a cotton air filter soaked in oil to retain impurities, the filtering power and the passage of air remain constant over time: the cotton air filter requires periodic re-oiling which does not ensure the same filtering power and the passage of air. of our P08. Furthermore, it is good to clarify that the permanence of the oil on a cotton air filter during normal use is very short in spite of the engine protection.

SIMPLICITY OF MAINTENANCE

Thanks to its almost indestructible structure, the SPRINT FILTER P08 air filter can be washed with any detergent, blown with compressed air and reassembled immediately, without any need to purchase additional maintenance kits or having to wait for it to dry before having to oil it. It is a dry filter so it absolutely must not be added with oil, the maintenance process is therefore quick and simple (2 minutes after opening the airbox).

THE FABRICS OF THE FILTERS

As is evident from the photographs taken under the microscope, the cotton filter is composed of very thick yarns, the polyester filter (P08) on the other hand is composed of much smaller and micronically calibrated yarns. Thanks to this type of construction, the polyester fabric allows better filtration combined with excellent air permeability, as can be seen from the tests carried out. It is necessary to say that as regards the cotton fabric the results obtained were not constant, this is due to the weak and mobile structure of the cotton gauze, the following data are however the best obtained. Regarding the polyester fabric, the data has always remained constant and precise.
